This weekend I've been weaving dishcloths and experimenting with colour, using the Painted Desert warp that I put on last week, but all different colours of dishcloth cottons for the weft. It amazes me how two variegateds that you'd never think could look good together end up blending into a harmonious fabric on the loom.
This is a little preview, of the red/green warp mixed with a yellow/pink/green/white weft. I will post all of the interesting variations once I get the cloth off the loom!
UPDATE: The cloths are off the loom. I tried to show the various wefts that I used in this photo (click for larger):
Next step is cutting them apart and hemming!
There isn't a single one I don't love!
