Sourdough butter buns, November 19

I found this recipe on the King Arthur website.

The buns were fun to make and looked beautiful. I used some of my unfed sourdough starter and about half whole wheat flour. I did not add the paprika. The recipe implied that they would stay very pale but mine browned well.

They were tasty, but not really any more delicious than my usual recipes. Given the extra fuss, probably not worth making again, unless I need an extra-fancy looking bun for some occasion!
