This is a recipe from an old Canadian Living cookbook (and probably the magazine before that). It is reprinted online here. Normally I just make it in a regular round springform, but this was for Valentine's Day and I had managed to find a heart-shaped springform pan at HomeSense the day before. My only advice is to add at least some of the almonds to the topping mixture after you cut in the butter. It just looks prettier to leave the sliced almonds whole.
