The baby I've been knitting for all these months has arrived! He was born at 5:30 this morning. His name is Jonathan! I'm so excited, and wish I were closer to my friend. Missouri seems a long, long way away today. I have to get those presents into the mail today for sure.
In other knitting news, I've been working on a simple toque with a skein of Patons SWS, and a thrummed slipper for my DH, out of Briggs & Little Heritage in Sheeps Grey. Running out of yarn on the slipper, so I have to head to the LYS (awwww) to see if she has more. Have a sick kid at home but he looks well enough to go on a little yarn shop journey to me!
I'm running out of yarn on the toque too, but I think I have a partial ball somewhere in my stash that will work for the top.
It is definitely more taupe. Not really grey at all, actually. Went to the LYS yesterday and we searched through all the bags of Briggs & Little that she had all over the floor but couldn't find any more. Then at the last second, just as she was telling me she must be out of stock, I saw a little flash of taupe on the back of one of her B&L shelves, and there it was! Just one skein. I was so excited. The slippers are done and wrapped and ready for giving today!

I so love those slippers. Is that grey more of a taupe or is it your camera?
