My plan is to keep knitting for my best friend's baby until he is born. His due date is this week, and she's been at 3cm for a while, but who knows when he'll decide it's time to enter the world. You just can't predict babies!
Anyhow, to keep me from emailing her every 6 hours to ask if anything exciting has started, I am knitting, knitting, knitting!
This is one of the Fiber Trends "Ear Cozies" hats that I've been so fond of this year (still love knitting them). I did this one in (disco'd) Patons Country Garden DK machine washable wool. It's a bit plain, being beige and all, but after the wild diaper cover I thought maybe I should tone things down a bit.
I was going to knit matching baby mitts, but am wondering if smooth cotton would be easier to get on a sticky little baby fist than wool. I guess I can at least try the wool ones. A matched set would be nice.
P.S. Can you see the glow of our Halloween pumpkins above the hat in the photo?
